Organization
The General Assembly (GA) is the supreme body of the limited company. It convenes once a year and votes all important political and strategic decisions. The Chairman of the Board of Directors is appointed by the GA. He carries out the decisions of the GA. The Lausanne Office is in charge of the administrative tasks, sales and promotions, the expansion of the hotel network, distribution channels, Central Reservations and the Purchasing Office.

Founded by
Minotel was founded by hoteliers, for hoteliers. Member hoteliers alone finance the budget of the chain. They participate in the life of the organization and they alone harvest the fruits of their activity, namely more reservations.

~ 60%. Hotels in Barcelona, Florence, Frankfurt and Venice show occupancy rates bordering on 90%

Geographical Spread
31 countries worldwide, although our hotel offer currently remains rather concentrated in Europe. The growing expansion towards other continents leads Minotel to also being present in Canada, China, Japan, Morocco, South Africa, Tunisia and the United States. Search for all Minotel Destinations

Worldwide Distribution
Our hotels are distributed through a network of professional tour operators, through the Global Distribution Systems (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan) as well as the most popular travel and hotel web sites. Tour operators account for 50% of the sales, electronic distributors for 25% and the public for another 25%.

Internet
85% of the Minotel reservations are done via the Internet and 15% via our Central Reservation Office.

> Minotel.com : For individual clients and travel agents alike, the multilingual Minotel secure web site is the key to all our hotels and offers them instant confirmation of their bookings as well as great savings. The Minotel web site is currently available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese. Russian will be added next.

> Extranet : A special web site allows our tour operators a quick access to room availability and reservations.

> XML Interfaces : More and more reservation systems of tour operators and travel web sites are directly linked to our database for hotel information, room availability and tariffs.

> Intranet : A user-friendly platform which allows our hoteliers to rationalize operations and easily manage their room offer in the several distribution channels proposed by Minotel.

Printed Brochures
The tour operators working with Minotel yearly print 20 million brochures that are distributed to customers in approximately 40'000 travel agencies worldwide. Furthermore, all of our hotels figure in our annual pocket size directory of which 120'000 copies are printed each year.

Central Reservation
Our call center ideally completes our public web site and handles efficiently reservation requests in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.

Purchasing Office
Swiss hotels benefit from the advantages of a powerful Purchasing Office which allows them to realize substantial savings when purchasing with our 70 suppliers who offer nearly 15'000 food and non-food products. Members annually realize purchases worth over 45 million Swiss Francs.
