Hotel University Place and Conference Center is situated near Portland State’s campus in the University District of Portland, 5 minutes from the city center away.

Arrival by car :
Arriving from the north and the south on Interstate 5 or from the east on Interstate 84 (rejoin I-5 South), turn off onto Interstate 405 and take the next exit, 1B, to rejoin 4th Ave. Take the first street right into SW Lincoln St. After 50 m, turn right onto the car park of Hotel University Place.

Arriving from the west on US-26 (rejoin I-405 S, Dalles/Salem) and from the north on Interstate 405, take exit 1C in the direction of 6th Ave. Turn right onto SW 6th Ave. Two streets further down, turn left into SW Sheridan St. After 150 m, turn left onto SW 4th Ave. Drive across the highway and take the first street right into SW Lincoln St. After 50 m, turn right onto the car park of Hotel University Place.

Arrival by public transport :
Portland-Union Station is served daily by three scheduled Amtrak intercity trains : Coast Starlight (Los Angeles, CA – Seattle, WA), Empire Builder (from Chicago, IL) and Cascades (Vancouver, BC, Canada – Eugene, OR). At the station, take the Portland Streetcar until SW 3rd & Harrison.

Portland is considered one of the top US cities with regard to its metropolitan transport. The city and its suburbs are thoroughly covered not only by streetcar, but also by TriMet (bus – SW Lincoln & 4th is the hotel’s closest stop), by MAX (light rail) and by Portland Aerial Tram (aerial cableway).

Arrival by airplane :
Portland International Airport lies about 10 km northeast of the city, on the banks of Columbia River. By car, take I-205. Rejoin I-84. Then follow the above driving directions.
By public transport : take MAX red line light rail service until Galleria/SW 10th Ave. Change to the Portland Streetcar until SW 3rd & Harrison.
